Vision and Goals
Below is the Scoutmaster's Vision as well as the Troop Program for 2014 developed by the PLC at this year's annual planning meeting.
Challenging and fun program — every Scout with First Class knowledge and skills / any Scout able to earn Eagle.
A Scout-led Troop run using the Patrol Method for all meetings, outings and activities.
A Troop that regularly serves the community in ways that Scouts love and are committed to.
2013's new Scouts to 1st Class
Troop supports Scout's advancement—ideally one rank before Summer Camp 2014
Each patrol has two new Life Scouts by Summer 2014
Every Scout (that desires to go) attends Summer Camp in 2014
Quarterly high adventure meetings to plan high adventure opportunities
One Patrol campout during each Patrol Leader's term of service
6 Scouts per patrol attending each campout
Patrols earn National Honor Patrol Award once per term
Scouts and Scouters fully trained, taking advantage of training opportunities (ILST, NYLT, Leave No Trace, Scoutmaster Training, Wood Badge, BSA Lifeguard, NRA, Wilderness/Remote 1st Aid, etc.)
By next spring, ?nd and choose a regular service opportunity that Scouts are excited about
At least one Scout per patrol earns Religious Award by Spring 2014
